It seems there may be two different versions of this colored display, one where the settings are abbreviated on the settings menu, and the other where the settings are a series off 19 parameters from P01 to P19.
I have the one with the parameters and numbers and had the most amazing time looking for instructions online as they all either displayed the black and white one or described the one with abbreviated settings names and not the parameter one :(… until I found this video on YouTube.
I couldn’t find a manual, but found a video from Green Pedel at https://youtu.be/hRw6MRNY0Lo?si=099FEe8k_jY6ra5l that shows every setting, I’ll summarize what they said here. (credit to their video)
Entering and Navigating Settings
To enter settings: Hold + and – for a few seconds until the screen changes
To enter and exit a specific parameter press the button on the side closest to the + button
To change the setting press + or –
Parameters/Settings:
- P01 – Display Brightness
- P02 – Speed Units
- P03 – Voltage (24/36/48)
- P04 – Cruise On/Off
- P05 – Gear Range Selection (looks like 0-5/5 speeds is default)
- P06 – Wheel Size
- P07 – Speed Magnet Number??? (Default 46, According to Green Pedal: High Speed or Pinion – set to 01, “Voger”? or No Gear Motor – set to 46 which is the number of magnets in the motor)
- P08 – Speed Limit
- P09 – Startup Mode (00 – zero startup [“press finger dial to operate”], 01 – non-zero startup)??
- P10 – Driving Mode (00 – power assisted driving, 01 – electric driving, 02 – “power-assisted electric coexistence”?)
- P11 – Power Assist Sensitivity (shown as 02 default, but they say it is not needed to be adjusted)
- P12 – Boost Start Strength (also showed says default is okay)
- P13 – “Type of Power Assisted Magnetic Steel Disk” (“5-grain, 8-grain, 12-grain magnetic steel”)
- P14 – Controller Current Limit Value (“display has the feature”, “controller is not released to the display so no adjustment is needed”, whatever these mean)
- P15 – “Controller Undervoltage Value”, I assume this means “low battery voltage setting” (30 for 36v, 40 for 48v)
- P16 – Mileage Reset (Long press parameter enter button to reset)
- P17 – Power-on Password (first enter the setting to enable or disable the password, use the enter button again to set the setting, if set to “y” it will prompt to set the password)
- P18 – Auto Shutdown (minutes, default: 10, range: 0-60)
- P19 – Power Mode Selection (unset? sometimes some controllers don’t follow this? 00 – 100%, 01 – 50%, 02 – 25% power output)
That’s it! If you’re using one of the other versions that have don’t have p-value settings, then those are widely available (and seem to be more common on the internet than this version).
