Just noting some somewhat decent mixes I discovered for my soda machine:
Also, of note having tried a SodaStream Terra machine from Costco, I highly recommend the FIZZpod/DRINKPOD machines that I found on Amazon. Something about them makes the carbonation/fizz better than what the SodaStream can do.
Orange Soda (tastes more like lemon soda with this recipe)
- 1 L or 32 oz (or whatever one DRINKPOD bottle can hold up to the fill line)
- 10-12 pumps of Torani Orange syrup (not sure how much exactly but it apparently is about 1.5 teaspoons or 7.5 ml apparently- Pumps I’m using)
- 5 packets of True Lemon (lemon only, be careful about the Lemonade ones, those have Stevia)
- Note: add the syrup sideways to the side of bottle after carbonating water to reduce fizzing, lemon powder seemed to add without major fizzing (I usually added last)
- Note+: be near a sink, it can still fizz up, if possible add slowly and seal with lid if you are fast enough to prevent foam from spilling – release air slowly after to let liquid settle
- Note++: haven’t tried carbonating with the ingredients inside
- Note+++: haven’t tried True Orange- but it might give better Orange flavor
Will add more mixes as I find them! Will be trying the Torani Lime one next to see if I can make a sprite-like drink.
